Fabric - Pure Georgette with Bandhani
Georgette is a lightweight, crinkled, sheer fabric, that displays an overall bouncy look. A strong absorbent, Georgette is easy to dye and has a dull-rough texture. Georgette is made from silk-twisting yarns.
Gota patti or gota work and sequence is an Indian embroidery that originated in Rajasthan, India. It uses the applique technique. Small pieces of zari ribbon are applied onto the fabric with the edges sewn down to create elaborate patterns. The making of Gota is a lengthy and time-consuming process.
