Bandhani derived from a Sanskrit word Banda which meaning “to tie” is truly an art that involves dyeing a fabric tied tightly with a thread at several points, producing a variety of patterns and then dyed with extraordinary colors.
This Dupatta is a perfect example of the fusion of two craftsmanship- Kutch meets Banaras making it one of our exclusive pieces. The golden zari work all over and on the border with shikargah (animal motifs) designs in meenakari craftsmanship adds to the beauty of this stunning masterpiece. This very minute bandhani work is done so intricately that it takes about 3-4 months for artisans to complete.
