Kadhua weave is inherent to Banarasi weaving and this dupatta is the epitome of the craftsmanship of the renowned weavers of Banaras.
Fabric - Pure Katan Silk
Katan is a thread, prepared by twisting a different number of silk filaments according to requirement gives a firm structure to the background fabric. Katan is a plain-woven fabric with pure silk threads. It consists of two threads twisted together and is mostly used for the warp of light fabrics.
Color - Purple
Weave - Kadhua with silver & gold zari aada (leheriya) weave with geometric border.
Kadhua is an exclusive technique of handloom weaving in Varanasi region, and it cannot be imitated on a power loom. Each motif is woven separately and its finished and look is the same from both sides. One piece of Kadhua saree takes 3-4 months engaging at least three persons to complete. It is a pure handloom product produced only in this region.
