PRODUCT DETAILS

Fabric – Pure Georgette Silk

Georgette fabric is a lightweight, crinkled, and sheer fabric, which gives an overall bouncy appearance. It is highly absorbent, making it easy to dye, and it features a dull-rough texture. Georgette is woven by twisting silk yarns.

Bandhani: The art of Bandhani is a highly skilled process. This technique involves dyeing a fabric that is tightly tied with a thread at various points, resulting in a variety of patterns, depending on the way the fabric is tied. Bandhani primarily utilizes natural colors, and since it is a hand-dyeing process, it allows for the best color combinations and variations.

THE WEAVING TECHNIQUE

Weave - Cutwork

The cutwork weave technique, also known as Jangla, embodies intricate artistry. It involves the intricate weaving of vegetation motifs like creepers, flowers, and birds, reminiscent of a jungle. These exquisite patterns are exclusively woven in gold and silver zari threads on a Jacquard loom, creating an opulent and ornate fabric.

Bandhani is a popular tie and dye technique that involves twisting, tying, and dyeing to produce some gorgeous patterns. Bandhani generally uses natural colours, predominantly yellow, blue, green and black. Each colour has its own significance. For example, red is a symbol of good fortune to a bride and yellow is a sign of spring time and joy. The designs on the fabric are formed by a combination of dots that are first block printed on the fabric. Some popular designs are the sikharibhat (jungle scene), ambaa dal (mango orchard) and chakalipopat (sparrow, parrot).
