Red Pure Katan Silk Handloom Banarasi Dupatta with Kadhua Boota
Add a dash of colour to your ethnic look with this beautiful Banarasi dupatta. The dupatta is made of pure Katan silk and has gold motifs and border woven on it. Kadhua weave is inherent to Banarasi weaving and this dupatta is the epitome of the craftsmanship of the renowned weavers of Banaras.
Fabric - Pure Katan Silk
Katan is a thread, prepared by twisting a different number of silk filaments according to requirement gives a firm structure to the background fabric. Katan is a plain woven fabric with pure silk threads. It consists of two threads twisted together and is mostly used for the warp of light fabrics.
Color - Red
Weave - Kadhua with gold zari.
Kadhua is an exclusive technique of handloom weaving in Varanasi region, and it cannot be imitated on a power loom. Each motif is woven separately and its finished and look is the same from both sides. One piece of Kadhua saree takes 3-4 months engaging at least three persons to complete. It is a pure handloom product produced only in this region.
