Everything you need to know before getting started
Yes — this katan silk saree is handwoven in Varanasi using the zari tanchoi technique.
Katan silk is a pure silk woven from tightly twisted threads, known for its durability, smooth finish and rich drape.
Tanchoi is a Banarasi weave that uses multiple weft threads to create a dense, satin-like surface with no floating threads on the reverse. Zari tanchoi incorporates metallic zari into this weave for added sheen.
Kairi is the paisley or mango-shaped motif, one of the most classic patterns in Banarasi weaving. Here it is woven all over the body in zari.
Weddings, receptions and festive occasions. Pairs well with gold, kundan or uncut diamond jewellery.
