Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before getting started
Yes — both the kora cotton body and the katan silk chauki rangkat pallu are handwoven in Varanasi by skilled artisans.
Kora cotton is a lightweight, naturally crisp fabric with a subtle sheen. It is breathable and comfortable to wear, making it ideal for all-day occasions.
Chauki rangkat is a rare Banarasi construction where the pallu is warp-dyed in distinct colour blocks before weaving. Each square is a separate colour with gold stripes hand-woven into it — the result is a pallu that is graphic, vivid and completely handmade.
The body is woven in kora cotton — light and crisp — while the pallu is woven in pure katan silk, bringing weight and richness exactly where it is seen most.
Weddings, festive occasions and celebrations. Pairs beautifully with gold, kundan or coloured stone jewellery.
Dry clean only. Avoid contact with perfumes and liquids. Store in the cotton bag provided, change folds regularly and iron on the reverse side only.
