A white katan silk saree with a chauki rangkat pallu — the aanchal divided into bold colour-blocked squares in green, red, purple and yellow, each woven with diagonal gold stripes and large meenakari kalka motifs at the corners. The magenta border carries a row of gold paisley bootis that tie the vivid pallu back to the quiet white body. Small gold bootis are scattered across the white body with understated elegance.

Chauki rangkat is a rare Banarasi construction where the pallu is warp-dyed in distinct colour blocks before weaving — each square a separate colour, each stripe hand-woven into it. The result is a pallu that looks almost architectural — precise, graphic and completely handmade.

A saree that carries its story entirely in the pallu — the body stays quiet so the aanchal can speak.

Suited to weddings, festive occasions and celebrations — pairs beautifully with gold, kundan or coloured stone jewellery.
