Fabric - Pure Banarasi Katan Silk.
Katan is a thread, prepared by twisting a different number of silk filaments according to requirement gives a firm structure to the background fabric. Katan is a plain-woven fabric with pure silk threads.
Weave – Kadhua jangla with meenakari.
Kadhua is an exclusive technique of handloom weaving in Varanasi region, and it can not be imitated on power loom. The cost and time in making a piece of kadhua saree depend on its design and color. It is different from embroidery, as all the work is done on the loom only while weaving.
Vegetation motifs scroll and spread on silk. Beautiful gold creepers and silver flowers embellished Jangla Sari. Meena work also used in Jal Jangla designs. Running creepers are brocaded on the sari and the end panel combines with motifs of dense forest or the field.
Color – Black
Blouse– Plain with a thick zari border.
Length – Saree 5.5 meters and Blouse 1 meter
