Thousands of individual tie points build the surface of this bottle green georgette — a dense diamond charkhana jaal covering the entire body, each unit enclosing a different geometric or floral motif worked in white, cream, and yellow-green bandhani dots. At the centre sits a large square panel of concentrated floral bandhani, dots packed so tightly they read as a solid bloom rather than individual points. It is the kind of work that takes time to understand — the more closely you look, the more precisely it is made.
The border is wide gold zari phulwar — dense floral scrolls and stems covering the full border band top and bottom. The pallu carries the same phulwar zari with meenakari colour accents and scattered gold zari floral butis on the green ground. A dupatta for significant occasions — the craft here is not incidental.
