Hot pink at full intensity — this Katan silk carries it plainly and without apology, the body uninterrupted from selvedge to border, the full warmth of the ground reading without competition.
The pallu is where the work concentrates. A contrasting cream ground carries a dense diamond jaal in gold zari, each diamond unit enclosing a rectangular meenakari buti — small floral medallions kadwa-woven in teal, blue, orange, and purple silk. The cool palette of the meenakari sits with particular clarity against the cream ground and creates a striking contrast to the hot pink body. The blouse piece continues the vocabulary — scattered multicolour butis and a dense meenakari phulwar jaal on the pink ground, rich and precisely worked.
