Yes — this is a pure cotton saree handwoven in Varanasi using the jamdani technique. Every motif is individually woven by hand.
Jamdani is one of the oldest and most labour-intensive weaving traditions in South Asia. The pattern is built thread by thread on the loom, making each piece unique and entirely handcrafted.
Real zari uses genuine silver or gold threads, as opposed to tested or artificial zari. It adds weight, luminosity and longevity to the weave.
