Dark pink is a colour that sits between coral and magenta — warm, vivid, and entirely its own. This Katan silk carries a self-colour laharia chevron across the entire body in alfi tanchoi, the gold and silver tone zari alternating across the diagonal pattern so the surface catches light in two tones simultaneously.

The anchal deepens in colour — a rich magenta ground across which a meenakari peony bel runs in a single continuous creeper, large guldaudi blooms and scrolling stems in silver-gold zari with colour accents in purple, orange, and white. The shift from dark pink body to magenta anchal is warm and natural — two tones of the same family, one carrying the other forward.

Weaving Technique – Tanchoi with Kadwa Border

The saree is woven using the Tanchoi weaving technique, where multiple silk threads are interlaced to create intricate patterns without any floats on the back, resulting in a smooth, tapestry-like texture. Complementing this is the Kadwa border, meticulously handwoven with silver zari threads — a hallmark of fine Banarasi craftsmanship that requires exceptional skill and patience.
