The Weaving Technique

Munga Tussar is a wild silk with a naturally warm, earthy tone and a distinctive slub texture that gives every piece its own character. Woven on a handloom in Varanasi with a crush finish, the fabric develops a permanent crinkle that adds both body and lightness to the drape. The contrast stripes are woven directly into the fabric, and the undyed base makes this saree fully dyeable — one of the most versatile pieces in the Khinkhwab collection.
