Add traditional hues to your wardrobe with Khinkhwab’s exclusive Pure Moonga Silk Banarasi Kutchi Bandhani Dupatta — perfect to complete that regal look this season.

Derived from the Sanskrit word “Banda” meaning “to tie,” Bandhani is a timeless art where fabric is intricately tied at several points before dyeing, creating exquisite dotted patterns in vibrant, celebratory tones.

This dupatta beautifully blends the richness of Banarasi golden zari craftsmanship with authentic Kutchi Bandhani work, resulting in a heritage piece that feels both festive and refined. The natural texture of Pure Moonga Silk gives it a soft yet structured fall, making it ideal for weddings, festive occasions, and heirloom styling.

THE WEAVING TECHNIQUE

Banarasi Cutwork Weaving with Kutchi Bandhani

The base is handwoven in Banaras using fine Moonga silk yarns interlaced with golden zari through the traditional cutwork technique, where extra threads are skillfully cut away to create intricate motifs with a lighter feel.

The fabric is then adorned with Kutchi Bandhani, where artisans meticulously tie thousands of tiny knots by hand before dyeing, forming detailed patterns within the zari framework. The fusion of Banarasi weaving and Bandhani artistry makes each dupatta unique and deeply rooted in Indian textile heritage.
