The Weaving Technique

Mukaish work, also known as "Mukaish embroidery" or "Mokaish," is a traditional Indian embroidery technique involving the insertion of small metallic threads or pieces into fabric. Originating from Lucknow, this form of embellishment is often seen on sarees, dupattas, and other garments. The metallic elements, usually silver or gold, are twisted into the fabric to create intricate patterns and designs, adding a subtle shimmer and luxurious feel to the textile. Mukaish work is valued for its delicate craftsmanship and elegant appearance.
