Traditional Turkish motifs are unique motifs in the history of the Ottoman Empire. They were used in fabrics, ceramics, carpets, miniatures, decorative arts, paintings, and more. The motifs, which have been developed continuously from the thirteenth century onwards, were most prevalent in the sixteenth century. They played an important role in the world of decorative designs with their detailed, beautiful, and unique motifs; reflecting the taste and efforts of Ottoman artists called Nakkaş (Muralist). They drew these motifs in the court atelier, and they reflected their spiritual feelings in the motifs.

Motif : Penc Motifs

The Penç motif is included in groups derived from natural plant forms. It looks like a drawing of a bird’s eye view of the flower. They have colored petals and their names are as follows; Yek berk, Dü berk, Se berk, Cihar berk, Penç berk, Şeş berk.
THE WEAVING TECHNIQUE

Digital textile printing is described as any ink jet-based method of printing colorants onto fabric. The inks used in digital printing are formulated specifically for each type of fiber (cotton, silk, polyester, nylon, etc). During the printing process, the fabric is fed through the printer using rollers and ink is applied to the surface in the form of thousands of tiny droplets. The fabric is then finished using heat and/or steam to cure the ink (some inks also require washing and drying).
