Bright yellow is the colour of celebration in its most direct form — and this Katan silk lets it occupy the body entirely, plain and uninterrupted, the full warmth of the ground reading without competition.
The pallu is where the work concentrates. A contrasting cream ground carries a dense diamond jaal in gold zari, each diamond unit enclosing a rectangular meenakari buti — small floral medallions kadwa-woven in pink, red, green, and purple silk. The meenakari colours shift from buti to buti across the jaal, giving the pallu a jewel-box quality against the plain yellow body. The blouse piece continues the story — scattered multicolour butis and a dense meenakari phulwar jaal on the yellow ground.
