Fabric - Pure Tissue Silk
Silk Tissue is an Organza type of fabric from India. The tissue is a thread of jari made as thin as a silk thread. Fabric or saree woven by alternate threads one direct silk thread and another is tissue thread. This tissue threads after weaving feel hard than normal silk fabric. Anyhow fabric made of pure jari tissue on handlooms are expensive due to silver and gold content in making of tissue thread( jari). A tissue saree has a glazed shine due to the use of the real gold/silver zari in weft on a silk warp
Weave – Rangkat Kadhua Weave
Kadua is the traditional art of hand-stitched designs on pure silk yarn which is is a painstaking technique that requires skill and effort. Besides being labor-intensive the traditional kadua also requires skill and dexterity.
