Fabric - Pure Kora Silk
The Kora or Organza Silk, which was primarily made out of twisting only silk yarns and filaments, The sheer, almost-see-through nature of the fabric helps maintain weightlessness to it, which coupled with the sheen it derives from the silk yarns, adds the required tone of glamour to one’s outfit. This is a preferable fabric for summers.
Weave – Kadhua Weave in silver and gold zari with Paithani inspired meenakari border.
Kadhua is an exclusive technique of handloom weaving in Varanasi region, and it cannot be imitated on power loom. One piece of Kadhua saree takes 3-4 months engaging at least three persons to complete. It is a pure handloom product produced only in this region.
Brocade Meenakari Paithani Border - Asawali Motifs, Vases, and Vines were popular in 18th to 19th Century during rule of Peshwa of Pune. Asawali was adopted from Gujarat around 600 variants are available from this design from a simple vine to an intricate 6 yard filler.
