This modal silk dupatta is worked in hand block ajrakh, with a fine all-over booti of maroon dotted sprigs and ivory buds on a deep indigo ground. A chain of maroon rosettes runs along both lengths, edged in black.

The pallu is layered in bands: a rosette chain, a row of large maroon floral medallions in dotted indigo frames, a second rosette chain, and a floral vine held between maroon sawtooth edges. Below these, a wide antique gold zari band sits between indigo stripes and fine zari lines before the black end.

Indigo with deep red is the classic ajrakh pairing, going back to the craft's roots in Sindh and Kutch. Artisans line up each carved wooden block by eye and press it by hand, so no two repeats sit exactly alike. The modal silk is light with a soft drape and a subtle sheen, and the zari band makes it easy to wear to weddings and festive evenings.

Pair it with an ivory or black suit, or a maroon kurta that picks up the medallions.
