Katan is basically a thread that is prepared by twisting several silk fragments in order to create the background fabric. This is a plain fabric woven by means of using pure silk threads. Usually comprising two threads twisted together, it is generally employed in the warp of light fabrics.
Weave – Kadhua Weave in silver zari with Paithani inspired meenakari border
Kadhua is an exclusive technique of handloom weaving in Varanasi region, and it cannot be imitated on power loom. One piece of Kadhua saree takes 3-4 months engaging at least three persons to complete. It is a pure handloom product produced only in this region.
Color – Black
Blouse– Plain with zari border.
Length – Saree 5.5 meters and Blouse 1 meter
