The ground and the motifs sit close in tone, so the whole cloth reads as one warm gold until you come near enough to pick the design apart.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTanchoi carries its pattern in silk rather than zari. Several coloured wefts run together behind the cloth and surface only where the design calls for them, which is why the motif reads as painted rather than raised. Against a yellow this bright, the green is what keeps it from going gaudy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eParizaad means born of fairies. It has been woven in grey, peach and sand.
