Fabric - Pure Banarasi Katan Silk.
Katan is a thread, prepared by twisting a different number of silk filaments according to requirement gives a firm structure to the background fabric. Katan is a plain woven fabric with pure silk threads.
Weave – Kadhua Jangla Weave in sona rupa zari.
Kadhua is an exclusive technique of handloom weaving in Varanasi region, and it cannot be imitated on power loom. One piece of Kadhua saree takes 3-4 months engaging at least three persons to complete. It is a pure handloom product produced only in this region.
Jangla technique includes heavy and intricate weaving with vegetation motifs, such as creepers, flowers and birds, which are representative of a jungle. The patterns are woven only in gold and silver zari, on Jacquard loom.
Blouse– Plain with a thick zari floral border.
