PRODUCT DETAILS

Fabric Details – Pure Pashmina

Handwoven from the downy undercoat of the Changthangi goat from Ladakh, this Pure Pashmina shawl is luxuriously soft, feather-light, and exceptionally warm. Each piece is handspun and woven on traditional looms, ensuring authenticity and comfort. The blend of delicate Sozni embroidery on pure Pashmina makes this shawl a true heirloom that embodies grace, warmth, and Kashmiri heritage.

The Weaving Technique

Weaving / Embroidery Technique – Sozni (Needlework)

Sozni embroidery is an ancient Kashmiri craft, known for its unmatched fineness and precision. Using the thinnest needles and silk threads, artisans create symmetrical floral and paisley motifs that appear as if painted on the fabric. This meticulous embroidery can take months to complete, reflecting patience, artistry, and devotion. The Daurdar pattern features intricate embroidery concentrated along the borders — a hallmark of luxury in Kashmiri shawls.
