A unique weaving style of Assam, Raw Mulberry sarees are a cross weave of Kesa Paat(Assamese word) (raw mulberry silk) and cotton in a check pattern. Weaves are airy and super light to drape and hence are hugely popular in Assam India, especially as a summer drape as a Mekhela chador which is our traditional dress.
