Add a dash of color to your ethnic look with this beautiful Banarasi Handloom dupatta from our Birds of Paradise collection. The dupatta is made of pure Georgette silk and has the illustrious birds motifs weave on it. Jaal weave is inherent to Banarasi weaving and this dupatta is the epitome of the craftsmanship of the renowned weavers of Banaras. 

Fabric - Pure Georgette Silk

Georgette is a light-weight, crinkled and sheer fabric, displaying an overall bouncy look. A strong absorbent, Georgette is easy to dye and has dull-rough texture. Georgette is made from twisting yarns of silk. 

Color - Hues of Pinks

Weave - Phekua Jaal with sona rupa zari and double color brush dying.

Extra loose floated thread on the back side which is not woven in designing is removed from that pattern. These designs provide a transparent look. Jasmine, marigold floral designs are used in cutwork. Threads are cut manually.

This is a hand-woven product and any irregularities in the weaving or pattern should not be taken as a defect. These irregularities make every handloom piece unique.

Dupattas lengths can vary by .25 meter, please check with us before buying if you are very specific.
