Georgette is a lightweight, crinkled and sheer fabric, displaying an overall bouncy look. A strong absorbent, Georgette is easy to dye and has a dull-rough texture. Georgette is made from twisting yarns of silk.

Craft: Parsi Gara  - The Parsi 'gara' is a quintessence of embroidery, art and history, and it has a Chinese link. Parsi traders, who used to trade with China, introduced Gara in India. The traditional Chinese Garas had embroidered borders on all four sides and hence, were very heavy to wear.
