PRODUCT DETAILS

Fabric - Pure Banarasi Katan Silk

Katan, a luxurious thread, is meticulously crafted by twisting silk filaments in varying numbers to create a sturdy foundation for the fabric. It imparts a distinct structure to the background fabric. Katan is known for its plain weave, using only pure silk threads, resulting in a fabric of exceptional quality.

THE WEAVING TECHNIQUE

Weave– Kadhua Weave with meenakari

Kadhua is an exclusive handloom weaving technique in the Varanasi region, and it cannot be imitated on a power loom. One piece of Kadhua saree takes 3-4 months engaging at least three persons to complete. It is a pure handloom product produced only in this region.

Tested zari or Half Fine Zari: It is also called imitation zari because it has the external features of real zari and thus, resembles the real zari in terms of shine. This variety is similar to real zari except copper lametta is used instead of silver and silver gilding is done on copper wire. For gold zari, the tested zari is electroplated with gold solution.
