Hand Block Ajrakh Pure Cotton Stole with Zari in Indigo Blue and Maroon

This pure cotton hand block ajrakh stole carries a fine all-over booti of maroon dotted sprigs and ivory buds on a deep indigo ground. A chain of maroon rosettes runs along both lengths, framed by black edges.

The end is layered in bands: a rosette chain, a row of large maroon floral medallions in dotted indigo frames, a second rosette chain, and a floral vine held between maroon sawtooth edges. Below these sit a plain indigo stripe, a wide antique gold zari band lined with fine zari stripes, and a black end.

Ajrakh is rooted in Sindh and Kutch, and indigo with deep red is its classic pairing. Every motif is pressed by hand with carved wooden blocks, so small shifts in alignment are part of the piece. The zari band makes this stole an easy pick for festive dressing, while the cotton keeps it light and breathable.

Wear it over an ivory or black kurta, or with a maroon set that picks up the medallions.
