The gharchola grid is one of the most loved layouts in bandhani, and here it meets Banarasi zari on a single drape. Fine bel vines woven in gold zari divide the rani pink georgette into neat squares, each one holding a bandhani motif tied by hand and dyed in white, with touches of yellow, and a small gold buti glowing at its centre.
A zari border in a sharp temple pattern frames the field on all sides, and a gota fringe runs along the edges for festive light. The crinkled fall of georgette keeps the whole piece soft, airy and easy to drape.
