Grape Purple Pure Katan Silk Handloom Banarasi Dupatta

Add a dash of color to your ethnic look with this beautiful  Banarasi Handloom dupatta. The dupatta is made of pure Katan silk and has the illustrious al aada weaving on it. Kadhua weave is inherent to Banarasi weaving and this dupatta is the epitome of the craftsmanship of the renowned weavers of Banaras. 

Fabric - Pure Katan Silk

Katan is a thread, prepared by twisting a different number of silk filaments according to requirement gives a firm structure to the background fabric. Katan is a plain-woven fabric with pure silk threads. It consists of two threads twisted together and is mostly used for the warp of light fabrics.

Color - Purple

Weave - Kadhua with silver & gold zari aada (leheriya) weave with geometric border.

Kadhua is an exclusive technique of handloom weaving in Varanasi region, and it cannot be imitated on a power loom. Each motif is woven separately and its finished and look is the same from both sides. One piece of Kadhua saree takes 3-4 months engaging at least three persons to complete. It is a pure handloom product produced only in this region.

This is a hand-woven product and any irregularities in the weaving or pattern should not be taken as a defect. These irregularities make every handloom piece unique.
