A beige gajji silk saree handwoven in Varanasi, patterned with patti (leaf) butis across the body in alternating gold and silver zari. The leaf sprays are worked in fine detail, each one individually woven in the kadwa technique, with smaller butis filling the spaces between. A dark olive-brown border with zari striping anchors the warm, neutral ground.

Gajji silk gives the saree a smooth satin finish and an easy fall, while the gold-and-silver pairing keeps the look refined rather than ornate. A quietly elegant piece for those who prefer motif over colour.

Suited to festive occasions, day events and celebrations — pairs well with gold, kundan or pearl jewellery.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Fabric Details – Gajji Silk

Crafted in Gajji Silk, a glossy and smooth silk known for its fluid drape and vibrant sheen, this fabric offers elegance with unmistakable comfort. The natural shine of gajji enhances the zari motifs, giving the saree a luxurious, royal appearance while remaining light and easy to wear.

The Weaving Technique

Weaving Technique – Kadwa Boota

This saree features the heritage Kadwa weaving technique, where each boota is individually handwoven using separate zari threads. Unlike regular weaving, Kadwa work is highly intricate, durable, and richer in detailing, making every motif stand out in clarity and texture. It’s one of Banaras’s most labor-intensive and prized weaving styles — an heirloom craft passed down through generations.
