A dusty pink organza saree handwoven in the kadwa technique — the body woven in a fine gold check pattern with small meenakari floral bootis scattered within each square in purple, yellow and teal. The gold border and pallu carry a dense geometric diamond jali, clean and structured against the soft pink ground.

Organza holds the kadwa check pattern with a quiet precision — the sheer fabric lets light through the grid, giving the body a luminosity that shifts as the saree moves. Light enough to float, structured enough to drape beautifully.

Organza Silk, which was primarily made out of twisting only silk yarns and filaments, The sheer, almost-see-through nature of the fabric helps maintain weightlessness to it, which coupled with the sheen it derives from the silk yarns, adds the required tone of glamour to one’s outfit. This is a preferable fabric for summer.

Kadua is the traditional art of hand-stitched designs on pure silk yarn, a painstaking technique requiring skill and effort. Besides being labor-intensive the traditional kadhua also requires skill and dexterity.
