The darkest dream. This pure Kinkhab silk brocade in deep black is woven with a continuous all-over Jangla in profuse gold zari — the black silk ground barely visible beneath the gold, making this the most dramatic expression of the Kinkhab tradition. Gold on black is the Kinkhab colourway that has adorned royalty for centuries.

Turn this fabric into a stunning blouse, an Indian kurta, or a western jacket and pair it with your Banarasi sarees and dupattas for unmatched glamour.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Fabric: Pure Kinkhab Silk
Zari: Gold
Width: 36 inches

Kinkhab — from 'kin' (gold) and 'khwab' (dream) — is the most opulent brocade in the Banarasi weaving tradition. Its defining characteristic is the use of profuse gold zari, woven so densely across the silk ground that the fabric itself becomes secondary to the gold. In the finest Kinkhab, the silk background is barely visible.
