A full shikargah jaal in silver zari covers this handwoven pure katan silk from end to end, deer and birds moving through a dense forest of flowering vines. Shikargah, the hunting scene of Banaras, is among the most intricate jaals a loom can hold, and here it runs without a pause across the entire field.

Floral bel bands frame the length, and the pallu rises in stacked rows, paired birds set within arched cartouches over fine jaal, before the drape closes on a plain royal blue anchal finished with tassels.

Blue and silver keep the piece cool and regal where gold would have turned up the volume. Drape it over ivory, silver grey or a matching blue, and let the jaal carry the evening. A dupatta woven with the ambition of a full shikargah saree.
