There is no ground left uncovered here — this wine Katan silk carries a continuous meenakari mehrab jaal from selvedge to selvedge, each interlocking scalloped arch filled with dense floral silk in magenta, deep pink, and violet. At the heart of every arch sits a guldaudi buta — a chrysanthemum rendered in gold zari with a small circular buti at its centre — so that the jaal reads as both pattern and bloom simultaneously.

The colour play is the achievement of this saree. The wine ground anchors the magenta and purple meenakari without letting either read as garish — the tones are close enough in family to create depth rather than contrast, a surface that rewards looking closely as much as from across a room.

The border is wide and architectural — multiple bands of geometric zari fill, structured and dense, a deliberate counterweight to the richness of the body.

For bridal occasions, winter weddings, and evening ceremonies where full presence is the intention.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Fabric Details – Satin Silk

Crafted in Pure Satin Silk, the fabric offers a lustrous sheen, soft texture, and fluid drape. The luxurious finish makes it ideal for both grand celebrations and elegant soirées. The combination of Tanchoi artistry and Kadwa detailing in silver zari gives this saree its distinctive Banarasi allure.

The Weaving Technique

Weaving Technique – Tanchoi with Kadwa Border

The saree is woven using the Tanchoi weaving technique, where multiple silk threads are interlaced to create intricate patterns without any floats on the back, resulting in a smooth, tapestry-like texture. Complementing this is the Kadwa border, meticulously handwoven with silver zari threads — a hallmark of fine Banarasi craftsmanship that requires exceptional skill and patience.
