Fabric: Chinon Crepe
Chinon crepe is a soft, lightweight fabric with a subtle sheen and smooth texture. Known for its graceful fall and elegant drape, it offers both comfort and sophistication—making it ideal for fine embroidery and festive wear.

Inspired by the traditional Kashmiri papier-mâché painting art, Paper Mache embroidery (also called Paper Mache work in textiles) beautifully translates the intricate, colorful designs of that heritage onto fabric using needle and thread instead of paint.

Technique:
In this craft, the embroidery mimics the look of hand-painted paper mache—characterized by bold floral motifs, delicate vines, and stylized patterns, often outlined in thick, raised stitches to give a slightly embossed effect.

Usually done using aari or sozni needles, depending on the desired finish.

Often enhanced with thread shading, mimicking the brushstrokes of papier-mâché art.
