We are all each for equal - Happy Women's day

We are all each for equal - Happy Women's day

Today as we are celebrating International Woman’s day with the theme #EachForEqual, we at Khinkhwab dream of a gender-equal government, gender-equal workplaces and more gender equality in health and wealth.

Gender Equality

While we brood and think on the topic of gender equality let us look at the various cultures of the world in terms of treatment of women, their status and rights. It is very evident that women were (are) generally considered socially and economically inferior to their husbands. They were(are) the caregivers in the family. Because of this, women were/are mostly involved in household activities and had (have) no rights in the decision making of the household.

This gender disparity is a hindrance to the growth rate of a country. Gender equality is essential for economies and communities to thrive. The 2020 International Women's Day is focusing on the theme, 'An equal world is an enabled world'. Equality is not a women's issue, it's a business issue and yes gender equality is essential for economies and communities to thrive.

Now, can we have the power to change the social structure with the magic of creating equal opportunities for all? Yes, of course, we can,  if only we can believe in the power of dreaming a fascinating life story… a manifestation of loving, caring, productive, active and maternal feminine energy merged with masculine energy like strengthcourageindependenceleadership, and assertiveness. It will be sheer bliss as a gender-equal world will be healthier, wealthier and more harmonious!

Shiva and Shakti

Let us all celebrate the power of Shiva and Shakti, their connection and union of feminine and masculine energies which brings a balance to this cosmic universe! Let us commemorate our womanhood with the fusion of Yin and Yang energies. The concept of duality forming a whole where both energies are constantly chasing after each other to seek a new balance!

With Shiva’s skills and abilities to liberate and emancipate souls from the clutches of grief and destroying the unwanted one…. emerges the feminine power the fighting prowess, filled with generosity, creative talent, leadership and inspiration the divine beauty, the “Shakti.” The cosmic energy to balance the “Rudra-Shiva” factor…. (an auspicious deity who is the creator, reproducer, and dissolver).

Shakti and Saree

And wouldn’t it be the best way to celebrate this feminine - cosmic energy, the Shakti, the mother of all… the giver, the benefactor, the woman with this six-yard aristocratic outfit … “Saree”! So whether it is time to celebrate festivals or formal gatherings, a woman chooses to drape a saree, as it brings forth her sensuality. The saree has a unique skill to hide the excess weight of a big sized woman or adding volume to the thin women’s body.

Sarees also define the excellent managing abilities of a woman, as one needs to be a very meticulous person to drape this huge piece of cloth. Women look most refined, polished, charming, and lovely in this beautiful traditional outfit while they perform their chores and create a sense of harmony wherever they are.

So, friends, it is time for us to celebrate the woman’s day with #EachForEqual theme…it is time for us to feel liberated, emancipated and equal. It is time for us to feel proud and say “Walk like a girl, work like a girl, laugh like a girl, dance like a girl and cry like a girl!”

Remembering some of the wonderful women of our times who are spectacular achievers!
